Pineapples

The juice of fresh Pineapples has been used for centuries as an anthelmintic – a worm remedy – as it has an enzyme called Bromelin. Bromelin also serves to digest Proteins in the same way that Pepsin does. Pepsin is a substance normally secreted in the human stomach. It is good for helping to digest meat and egg dishes. Capable of increasing hemoglobin content of the blood and therefore an excellent food for anaemia suffers. Juice from either fresh or tinned Pineapples preferable for those on a soft diet.
