GRUMPS TO ANDREW – NOT SO NONSENSE VERSE N0. 6.

When you see the way is long
And the opposition’s strong,
When it’s tempting to give in,
Pack up, let the other win,
Just keep going, on and on.

When you’re low and on your own
With your troubles greatly grown,
Help you needed not at hand,
Promises just based on sand,
You can do it all alone.

When things said set right at nought
All the truths that you were taught,
Words spoken that signify
Worthwhile values to deny,
Know which value to support.

When you sense dark danger near
To the point you’re drenched in fear,
There’s a way towards the light,
Shun the wrong, embrace the right,
You will hear the message clear.

See your trust is not wasted
Triumph’s good when once tasted,
Beware the smooth assurance sweet
Of the treacherous elite;
Be the feast and not the feasted.
