How precious were those moments in times past
\nWhen all the busy day is left behind,
\nThe nights are drawing in, outside the dusk
\nReaches down to embrace the shining lights
\nWhere you are sitting there, and I am here.<\/p>\n
A settling down in easy comradeship
\nReflecting an inner peace whereby we
\nChoose the way we wish to spend these hours
\nAnd silently absorb the arching range
\nOf vibrations spread between our space.<\/p>\n
Until such thoughts turn into active words
\nThat gently turn the soil of common ground;
\nSuch words, to cross a bridge and start a trend
\nOr re-defining some earlier talk that might
\nHave left a hanging doubt or, to explain<\/p>\n
An abstract point that needed to be made.
\nYou might be darning, involved in tactile rest –
\nA sudoku assists me to relax –
\nNothing too expressive that might erase
\nA composure that grows into itself –<\/p>\n
And evenings when the mood was right
\nYou would choose some music where your choice was
\nSure to send us deeper into an
\nAbstraction that transcended musing thoughts
\nInto the realms of beauty, love and peace.<\/p>\n
