Loneliness, thou poverty of self –
\nWhen life’s rich colours turn to monotone
\nWhere all is shadowed fretfulness, rising

Solitude, thou richness of the self –
\nThe World and thee in fulsome harmony
\nWith all thy flowering thoughts and dreams touching
\nThe soul’s load spring, to prod it, tenderly.<\/p>\n
