A speck of light upon a leaf
\nAnd gold the shafts that pierce the apple tree,
\nA lady bird explores in high relief
\nThe solace and the wonder here for me.<\/p>\n
Those dangers to be met upon the way
\nFor all who travel through this World might not
\nComplete the journey when and how they may
\nhave thought or feared, such is life’s hidden plot.<\/p>\n
There are some whose dreams fade at the onset
\nWhilst others, hopes never take off to grow,
\nAnd each has to nurture or pay the debt
\nUninvited fate insists that we owe.<\/p>\n
As broken reeds, failures and dire discards
\nAre swept into the void and forgotten
\nBy a World that harbours without regards
\nDestruction of both good and the rotten.<\/p>\n
We may cry out because of injustice
\nTo see Mother Nature showing her back
\nAs our time draws near with its Judas kiss,
\nDespair, and one final turn of the rack.<\/p>\n
The geraniums give a splash of red,
\nA sparrow pecks at crumbs upon the grass,
\nCotton wool cumulus overhead
\nSports with the sun, these things do not pass.<\/p>\n
